Michigan couple killed in fatal accident

A Michigan couple died as a result of a fatal accident last month. The husband and wife died six days apart after a 17-year-old driving a minivan crossed the line and hit their SUV head on. The wife was killed instantly and the husband died about a week later just before Christmas, due to injuries sustained in the accident.

The accident is still under investigation. It is unknown what may have played a role in causing the 17-year-old to cross the line into oncoming traffic, though authorities have stated that cell phone use did not play a role in the crash. Authorities are looking to see if a medical condition may have been the cause.

The teenager driving the minivan and an 8-year-old boy related to the husband and wife also died in the crash. The couple left behind a teenaged daughter and the husband's son. The wife has a twin sister who is was reportedly devastated by the loss. When the girls were about 13, the wife's twin was hit by a car when she crossed the street to buy sodas. As a result, her twin was in critical condition for a month. Now, the twin is devastated because, unlike her, her twin sister will never be back.

The wife's brother donated his grave plots to the husband and wife so that they could be buried next to each other. This is obviously a horrible and devastating occurrence.
