One killed as car crashes into home and starts fire

A car accident that took place in a residential neighborhood has left one dead, another injured and an extensive loss of property. The fatal accident took place when the vehicle in question tried to get through a light, crashing into an SUV before crashing into the bedroom of a home on Lahser.

Eyewitnesses say that it all happened very fast, but that the car crashed into what was later identified as the bedroom of the home. There were six children and two adults in the home, but luckily, there was no one in the room in question at the time of the accident. The car caught on fire, instantly sending the house up in flames. Neighbors were even able to get cell phone video of the crash shortly after it happened.

The man who lost control of the car was unconscious when witnesses arrived on the scene. Everyone in the home was able to escape without harm, and witnesses immediately began to work to free the trapped driver and passengers in the car. They used everything at their disposal and were eventually able to pull the passenger out of the car. Unfortunately, they were unable to get to the unconscious driver before the flames got to him.

The passenger was immediately taken to the local hospital for emergency surgery. Witnesses say that there was a third passenger in the car, who fled the scene of the accident. It is unclear as to whether the escaped passenger sustained any injuries. Police are looking for the third passenger and also investigating the cause of the accident.
