Suspected drunk Ann Arbor driver hits, injures bicyclist

According to news sources, the 43-year-old was involved in two accidents in the same evening. The first accident, where she allegedly struck the bicyclist, occurred some time before 7:30 p.m. Fortunately, an off-duty police officer spotted bicycle wreckage and the injured man, who was in the ditch. The officer called for medical attention and the injured man was transported to an area hospital. The police also began their investigation into the type of car that caused the bicyclist's injury and potential damage to the car.

At about 8:15 p.m. the same evening, the 43-year-old was involved in a single car accident. Michigan state troopers had been alerted to the potential car damage, which matched the damage to the 43-year-old's vehicle. The woman was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol. Although field sobriety testing was not reported in the news article, the woman was subsequently arraigned for driving under the influence.

The 60-year-old was last reported in critical condition.
